With its wide 30cm cooking surface, the J&L by PROCHEF Enamelled Cast Iron Shallow Casserole is made for generous one-pan meals. There’s plenty of room for browning chicken thighs, meatballs or sausages before building the rest of the dish around them. Try it for paella, creamy risotto, chicken cacciatore, curries and pasta bakes, or use the broad base for gratins, dauphinoise potatoes and bubbling cobblers finished in the oven.

Made from substantial cast iron with a PFAS/PFOA-free enamelled cooking surface, it’s designed for years of regular use. The durable enamel is easy to care for and provides a non-reactive surface for cooking with acidic ingredients such as tomatoes, wine and citrus.

For the best longevity, allow the casserole to cool before washing and avoid sudden temperature changes. Clean with warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft sponge, soaking stubborn residue rather than using abrasive scourers. Dry thoroughly before storing to help keep the enamelled cast iron looking its best.
